Nelson’s Arm Band was born of long summer busking trips on the Grand Union Canal, and it was the canal which formed the spine of the area from Uxbridge to Rugby where the band worked for nearly fifteen years. Primarily a barn dance band, this combo could also put on a great evening of songs.
Although Ned’s move to keyboards had already enabled us to work as a trio on occasions, the sad loss of Roger Salter in 2002 was a bitter blow and the heart went out of the band. It was quietly put into retirement in October 2004. The first reunion gig can’t be far away!
