A  collection of songs with a some recurrent themes.
There are frequent glimpses of a pastoral way of life, now lost, with its sense of place and unruffled continuity. Sheep farming seems  to figure pretty  highly.
In contrast, 'The Rebel Soldier' and Paul Clark's two Wolverton songs tell of great personal and social upheaval.
Then there are, of course, the songs of love, unrequited or carefree.
